Privacy notice

This website is run by Brian Coleman under the name BMC Ascent (BMCA), based in Belgium. This notice explains what personal data I collect through the site and how I use it.

Who is responsible

I am the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach me at contact@bmcascent.com.

What I collect

If you use the contact form, I collect your name, email address and message, and your company and phone number if you choose to give them. If you email me directly, I receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

How I use it

Only to reply to you and to follow up on what you asked about. The legal basis is your request to be contacted and my legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. I do not use your details for marketing, and I do not sell or share them.

Where it is stored

Form submissions are processed by Squarespace, which hosts this website, and delivered to my Google Workspace mailbox. These providers may store data outside the European Union, under the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiries for as long as I need them to handle your request and any working relationship that follows. If nothing comes of the conversation, I delete them within two years.

Cookies

Squarespace uses cookies that are needed for the website to work and to produce basic, aggregated visitor statistics. I do not use advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data I hold about you, or object to how I use it, by writing to contact@bmcascent.com. If you are not satisfied with my reply, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
